The Weil McLain 540-100-001 Orifice is an accurate-size gas flow restrictor that supplies propane fuel to gas-fired heating burners in HVAC systems. It operates by offering a calibrated orifice profile that controls the volume of LP gas to be used to ensure that it burns correctly, maintains the right amount of air-fuel mixture, of the right flame. It is installed in the gas train between the regulator and burner inlet and is in line with specified thread fittings and system pressure requirements.
