Description
The Trane THT2540 is a Non-Programmable Limit Switch that is meant to protect your Trane heating and cooling system from overheating. This safety device works as a temperature protector, observing the temperature of the surrounding area. When the temperature reaches 120°F open temperature, the interrupts the electrical circuit and shuts down your system. This helps some essentialparts to overheat and if they do, they would be damaged. When the temperature gets to 100°F or close temperature, the circuit is activated and your Trane system is back to normal. This automatic switching mechanism is a safety net for your HVAC equipment and helps them run without safety concerns.
