Description
The Trane CTR6958 is a safety device meant for Trane HVAC systems. This component is approximately 2.3 inches high, 7.0 inches long, and 3.9 inches wide and is an essentialprotector of your compressor, the core of the air conditioning system. The CTR6958 has several functions, but one of the most essentialis motor protection. It always measures the electrical current flowing to the compressor motor. When the current rating is crossed, the CTR6958 pulls a tripping circuit which halts the motor and protects it from being damaged by excessive current. The other essentialfunction is the control of oil pressure.
