Description
The Trane CNT3720 is a Low-Pressure Switch designed specifically for Trane HVAC equipment most commonly used in furnaces and air conditioners. That makes it a safety feature designed to protect the system against damage caused by low pressure. It is always checking the air pressure of the system. A safety limit of 8 PSI is when pressure drops below this level an electrical circuit is opened automatically. This leads to shutting down of the system so that parts such as the compressor do not work under low pressure which could lead to overheating and causing of damage. It is a switch that shuts the circuit when the pressure gets to a specific value of 25 PSI.
