Description
The Supco SHP250150 High Pressure Switch is a pressure-sensing control component used in systems to monitor refrigerant discharge pressure within air conditioning heat pump and refrigeration circuits. It operates by opening the electrical circuit when system pressure rises to approximately 250 PSI and re-closing when pressure drops to around 150 PSI. It protect compressor, and other components from unsafe operating conditions in HVAC systems. Installed on the high-pressure side of the refrigerant line it connects directly to the systems service port, or discharge line. It is used in condenser assemblies to shut down equipment during overpressure event caused by airflow restriction ensuring safe system operation.
