Description
The Supco L170 Limit Switch L170-20F is a thermal protection control that monitors internal temperatures in furnaces, unit heaters, and air handling equipment. It interrupts the electrical circuit when temperatures reach, reducing the excessive heat affecting blower sections, heat exchangers, or nearby electrical components. Installed near high-temperature zones within the heating assembly the switch responds automatically to abnormal operating conditions caused by restricted airflow or elevated heat levels. After temperatures return to an acceptable range and the automatic reset operation restores circuit continuity allowing the HVAC systems to resume normal operation.
