Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100208560 Inlet Sensor Kit is an essential part for proper functioning of water heating system. This kit usually consists of sensors that measure such essential parameters as water temperature and its flow rate at the water heater inlet. These sensors operate all the time to feed data to the control system of the water heater for it to self-regulate. For example, if the water temperature is low than a certain level the sensor triggers the water heater to adjust the heat output. If the water flow rate is low the sensor will cut off the water heater element from firing in to avoid overheating.
