Description
The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100111371 Natural Gas Control Valve is an important part of natural gas heating in HVAC systems. This makes its operation extremely important in regulating the flow of natural gas to the burner with considerable accuracy thus enabling control of heating power. It is controlled by the thermostat signal, which sets the required heat level. The valve opens when the thermostat feels that there is need to produce heat, to allow gas into the burner. The valve closes to reduce the rate of gas flow as soon it attains the desired temperature. It is used in combination with several Lochinvar and A.O. Smith types and is generally installed on the gas feed line to the boiler. Through accurate control of the flow rate of the gas, the thermostat valve helps in control of the ideal temperatures, reduced energy wastage and over-heating.
