The Lennox X8789 MERV 16 pleated air filter and will help capture a better deal of the various pollutants in your home’s HVAC system. MERV1 is for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, whereas 16 is for high filtering capability. This filter traps dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, and other allergens as small as 0.1 microns so your home air will be cleaner. The X8789 is a 216 x 26 x 5 Inch pleated filter that can be used with several Lennox PureAir air purifiers and certain furnaces. The pleated shape allows for a larger surface area to trap particles as well as maintain proper air flow rate (approximately 1600 CFM).
