Description
The Johnson controls M9108 HGA-2 damper actuator used in controlling the air flow in HVAC systems, especially in business facilities. It works like an automatic translator where an electrical control signal either 0-10VDC or 0-20mA is translated to accurate rotational shaft movements. That shaft is linked to a damper blade, which in essence regulates the rate at which airflow occurs through the ducts. Such a specific regulation of airflow is necessary to sustain the temperatures inside the structure at reasonable rates. The M9108-HGA-2 is made to stand up to a number of operating conditions, it has an NEMA 1 enclosure and operates at a temperature of -40°F to 176°F.
