The Carrier HK02ZB028 Low-Pressure Switch, which is used in HVAC equipment. Constructed of high-rated materials this safeguard works as a kind of pressure indicator for the cycle, it safeguards the compressor from possible harm that may be induced by low refrigerant pressure. It controls all its elements through a Single Pole, Single Throw functionality which means it has two terminal points and can only be in two positions either on or off. When the pressure within the system is low, below 27 PSI, the switch breaks the circuit and stops the compressor. This protects the compressor from attempting to move refrigerant that’s scarce in an environment, that might trigger overheating and damage.
