The Carrier HK44ER240 is a Motor Module, that is, a spare part for Carrier HVAC systems that use electronically commutated motors of 1/2 horsepower. Measuring 5.6 x 5.6 x 1.7 inches, this module controls the speed and efficiency of motors. ECM motors are different from other AC motors, they operate at variable speeds. This enables the module to turn motor speeds up or down depending with heating and cooling requirements and increases both the efficiency and the comfort in the system. Carrier systems that work on a voltage of 208-240V and a frequency of 50/60 Hz can be fixed by replacing a faulty module to have the HVAC system work efficiently again.
