Description
The Carrier HK30WA506 is a Variable Frequency Drive that is an outdoor application for commercial and industrial air conditioning and heating systems. Unlike ON/OFF controls, a VFD accurately modulates the electrical current frequency supplied to the outdoor unit motor, commonly a PSC motor. This enables a fine and seamless control of cooling capacity. By adjusting the motor speed, the VFD makes certain that the unit is only worked as hard as necessary to cool the building. This is equivalent to large energy conservation, especially during times when cooling is not heavily demanded.
