The Xylem-Hoffman Specialty DP0296 Mechanical Seal is designed to provide a leak-free sealing solution for HVAC systems, improving the efficiency of the pumps. This 1” mechanical seal is reliable and can be durable without requiring replacement. It operates through the formation of a secure and revolving seal that is between the shaft of the pump and the housing to minimize leakage of the fluid. The seal design is based on the balance pressure to accommodate a fluctuating operating condition without causing damage. It is used in most of the centrifugal pumps in HVAC systems and is used in heating and cooling.
