Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-101529-09 is one of the safety features required in HVAC equipment. It is a low pressure cut off which safeguards your equipment from any damage due to low refrigerant or water supply. This component is responsible of measuring pressure within the system. Basically when the pressure is less than a set value (in this case a pressure of 50 PSI), then the switch opens, turning off the power supply to the HVAC unit. This makes the comments keep the System from working in dangerous Situations. As soon as the pressure drops, the switch reopens so that the system can go back to performing its function normally. This low pressure limit switch has been designed to be used with Rheem and Ruud HVAC systems only.
