Description
The Lennox 38M76 is a low-pressure switch, which is safety devices used in different HVAC equipment such as furnaces and air conditioners. It protects the compressor, the life of the system, by switching off the system whenever the air pressure is low. Usually in the closed position, it opens when the pressure falls to 90 psi and shuts off the compressor. It opens once more when pressure goes below 40 psi and closes again to allow the compressor to start. This helps to avoid the compressor to operate under low pressure that may cause it to over heat and develop faults.
