Description
The Carrier HH18HA195 is an essential safety component in the Carrier HVAC systems. This component is quite tiny, being 1” on each side, yet it serves the essential function of preventing overheating. It has been designed in a disc style with a normally closed configuration and works as a single-pole single-throw. In normal operation, the switch is closed so that the current can freely flow within this system. However, if temperatures rise beyond the set limit of 195°F, the switch resets itself manually and breaks the circuit. This cuts power supply to the compressor and this is essential to avoid damage of the equipment due to heat.
