Description
The Rheem-Ruud 470004 Limit Switch is used to prevent over heating or over cooling commonly used in heating, ventilation and air conditioners to help regulate temperature well. This normally closed, auto reset limit switch working temperature is 120°F and trips when temperature reaches 160°F to avoid system overheating. This Limit Switch, utilized in a range of Rheem and Ruud heating systems, tracks the temperature so that your gear is protected from heat stress. However, to protect the equipment the switch breaks the circuit when the temperature goes up to 160 °F. At this temperature it goes off and when the temperature reduces to 120°F it returns to normal and the system can work afresh.
