Description
The Carrier HH18HA505 is a small but essential part of the safety mechanism called a limit switch designed for particular Carrier air conditioning systems. It is approximately 1” length, 1.6” breadth, and 1.1” height and has the responsibility of safeguarding your air conditioner from any harm. The limit switch monitors a certain parameter of the system, for instance, temperature or the amount of air. If this parameter gets to a certain safe level the switch turns on and this blows the circuit breaking the power supply to the compressor. It may shut off the compressor if the discharge air temperature is too high, to avoid overheating and consequent component failure.
