Description
The Carrier HH12ZZ190 High Limit Switch is a temperature-sensing component that is used in HVAC systems by opening its contacts when the air temperature it is sensing reaches 190°F and closes when it cools to 40°F. It is fitted in the furnace and air handlers to monitor the heat exchanger or plenum temperatures to avoid overheating. In the system, this switch breaks the burner or heating circuit when the temperatures are beyond working limits to protect the components and ensure that it continues operating when under normal heating conditions.
