The Trane BAYLOAM023A Kit is an evaporator defrost control kit that is essentialfor Trane HVAC equipment and is used in air conditioners. When operating, frost forms on the evaporator coil and this decreases the coil’s capacity to remove heat from your home. The Kit also serves as a supervisor constantly supervising the coil temperature. When the frost level is high, the kit starts a defrost cycle and clears the frost off the plates. This cycle normally requires a reversal of the refrigerant flow or switching on some electrical heating components to melt the formed frost on the coils.
