The Rheem-Ruud 42-21786-81 Defrost Relay is vital in the functioning of air condition and heating systems especially those which require the completion of a defrosting process. This relay is concerned with the regulation of the defrost cycle in order to achieve efficiency in the operation and avert undesirable incidence such as harm to the equipment due to ice formation. This relay has 2-DPDT and 1SPST connection which effectively controls multiple electrical circuits in the course of defrosting cycle. The device is operated on a standard 240V electrical supply source and the coil switching frequency is at 50/60Hz. When triggered it circulates electrical current to the components like the defrost heater and the fan which clears ice within the coils and coils.
