The Carrier HH680354 is an essential safety accessory, which should not be missing from your HVAC system. It is a small limit switch that has the essentialfunction of controlling temperature. This limit switch also functions as a protective mechanism that triggers the stoppage of heating when the temperature set limit is attained. It controls temperature and shuts off the electrical circuit when a particular limit is attained, to avoid excessive heat and related harm to equipment. This is used for high-temperature applications with a set point of 250°F and differential of 20°F. This means that the switch initiates a shut-off as soon as the temperature rises to 250°F and resets when the temperature drops to 230°F.
