Description
The Trane COL14716 is a 24V reversing valve coil for Trane HVAC systems to switch from heating to cooling. It is an electromagnet that controls the direction of the system’s refrigerant flow. When powered by 24-volt AC, the coil creates a magnetic field that flicks a valve inside the device. The water redirection of the refrigerant flow now allows the system to operate in heating or cooling mode depending on the desired temperature. This little unit only 3.5″ long x 3.9″ high controls the flow of refrigerant and provides a nice smooth flow between heating and cooling cycles, both of which are critical to the dependable, effective operation of your Trane HVAC system.
