Description
The Carrier P282-0311 is an electrical switch built for HVAC applications. It’s called a contactor and it’s a relay designed to switch much larger currents. It is similar to a switch that uses an electrical signal to operate a different circuit with greater voltage. This is a 24V control circuit relay, but it is capable of controlling loads up to 30A. This makes it suitable for application in the control of high power loads in HVAC equipment like the compressor and the fan. While relays are designed to control comparatively low current, contactors are constructed to control higher current.
